If you deal in Kawasaki products or have been in the market to purchase one, then we have some good news for you. Kawasaki motors Corp recently announced that it will be initiating a new storage and distribution system for its parts, accessories, engines, and other products.
The effort is in response to sales growth and expanding the firm’s dealer network. Kawaski also said they hope to provide more efficient and timely deliveries in order to satisfy users, partnering with UPS to accomplish that goal. According to Rodger Howe, who is the Director of Operations at Kawasaki, the firm’s inventory will be moved to UPS facilities in Hebron, Ky. and Mira Loma, California at the end of August.
Kawasaki’s existing warehouses used to support distribution in Ontario, CA. Atlanta, GA., and Grand Rapids still still continue to provide storage and disribution needs for Kawsaki. The company will also be able to take advantage of a parts planning tool from Baxter Planning systems that is currently integrated into the UPS system. The software enhances sales forecasting and stock planning to assist in managing seasonal demand.
